MAC N' CHEESE

This recipe is not healthy!!!! This recipe is purely for them days when you feel like treating yourself to a naughty snack.

Ingredients

  • 250 g MACARONI
  • 1 TBSP MARGARINE VEGAN
  • 1 TBSP PLAIN FLOUR
  • 2 TBSP TOFUTTI CREAM CHEESE
  • 1 CUP SOY MILK UNSWEETENED
  • 1 TSP SALT
  • 1/2 TSP PEPPER
  • 1/2 TSP PAPRIKA
  • 1/2 TSP GARLIC POWDER
  • 1 CUP GRATED VEGAN CHEESE

Instructions

  1. BRING A POT OF WATER TO THE BOIL AND COOK MACARONI ACCORDING TO PACKET INSTRUCTIONS.

  2. IN A SAUCEPAN, ON MEDIUM HEAT MELT THE MARGARINE.

  3. ADD THE FLOUR, SALT, GARLIC AND PAPRIKA AND WHISK UNTIL COMBINED WITH THE MARGARINE TO FORM A PASTE.

  4. ADD TOFUTTI CREAM CHEESE AND SOY MILK AND CONTINUE TO WHISK UNTIL SMOOTH. THE SAUCE WILL THICKEN AT THIS POINT, YOU MAY NEED TO ADD MORE SOY MILK TO THIN IT OUT MORE. HOWEVER THE SAUCE IS INTENDED TO BE THICK.

  5. ADD THE GRATED CHEESE AND WHISK UNTIL THE CHEESE HAS MELTED AND COMBINED WITH THE SAUCE.

  6. REMOVE MACARONI FROM THE HEAT AND DRAIN THE WATER. COMBINE THE PASTA AND THE SAUCE.

  7. ENJOY YOUR NAUGHTY SNACK.

SERVING SUGGESTION:

I RECOMMEND THAT ONCE THIS RECIPE IS COMPLETED YOU TRANSFER THE MAC N' CHEESE TO AN OVEN DISH. THEN COAT THE MAC N' CHEESE WITH BREADCRUMBS AND BAKE IN THE OVEN FOR ~15 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN ON TOP.
