CLUB SANDWICH

INGREDIENTS:
TEMPEH ‘BACON’
6 SLICES TEMPEH
2 TBSP SOY SAUCE
2 TSP RICE MALT SYRUP
2 TSP LIQUID SMOKE

TOFU SLICES:
4 SLICES OF EXTRA FIRM TOFU
1 TSP OLIVE OIL
1 TSP SOY SAUCE
1 TSP MUSTARD
PINCH OF PEPPER & SALT

OTHER FILLINGS:
1/2 AVOCADO
1 CUP SHREDDED LETTUCE
8 SLICES TOMATO
8 SLICES CUCUMBER
VEGAN MAYO

BREAD:
3 SLICES OF BREAD OF YOUR CHOICE

METHOD:
1. PREPARE THE TEMPEH AND TOFU MARINADES BY COMBINING THE INGREDIENTS OF EACH ONE IN A BOWL OF THEIR OWN AND WHISKING THEIR INGREDIENTS UNTIL THEY’RE WELL COMBINED.

2. PLACE THE TEMPEH ON A PLATE AND THE TOFU ON ANOTHER PLATE, POUR THE MARINADE FOR EACH ONE ON THEIR PLATE AND COAT THE SLICES. LET SIT FOR 5 MINUTES.

3.HEAT A FRYING PAN TO MEDIUM HEAT AND FRY THE TEMPEH FOR ~2 MINUTES EACH SIDE, REMOVE THEM FROM HEAT AND SET ASIDE.

4. HEAT A FRYING PAN TO MEDIUM HEAT AND FRY THE TOFU FOR ~2 MINUTES EACH SIDE, REMOVE THEM FROM HEAT AND SET ASIDE.

5. TOAST 3 SLICES OF BREAD AND SET ASIDE.

6. PREPARE AND ASSEMBLE SALAD INGREDIENTS.
