OIL FREE PIZZA BASE

INGREDIENTS:

1 CUP WHOLEMEAL FLOUR

1 YEAST SACHET

1 TSP SUGAR

1 CUP WARM WATER

 

METHOD:

** PREHEAT OVEN TO 200 DEGREES CELSIUS.**

 

1. COMBINE THE YEAST, SUGAR AND WATER IN A BOWL AND WHISK TO DISSOLVE THE YEAST.

2. LET THE MIXTURE STAND FOR 10-15 MINS OR UNTIL IT IS FROTHING.

3. ADD THE FLOUR TO A BOWL AND SLOWLY ADD THE YEAST MIXTURE WHILST STIRRING.

4. ONCE THE MIXTURE HAS COMBINED AND IT HAS TURNED IN TO A DOUGH, KNEAD THE DOUGH FOR 5 MINUTES OR UNTIL IT HAS AN ELASTIC TEXTURE.

5. PLACE THE DOUGH IN A BOWL AND COVER FOR ONE HOUR OR UNTIL THE DOUGH HAS DOUBLED IN SIZE.

6. PLACE THE DOUGH ON A FLOURED SURFACE AND KNEAD FOR 1 MINUTE.

7. SPLIT THE DOUGH IN HALF TO MAKE TWO REGULAR PIZZAS OR QUARTERS TO MAKE FOUR SMALLER PIZZAS.

8.ROLL OUT THE DOUGH TO BECOME A CIRCLE AND AT YOUR DESIRED THICKNESS (THE DOUGH WILL RISE SLIGHTLY IN THE OVEN)

9. ADD YOUR DESIRED TOPPINGS AND THEN BAKE IN THE OVEN ON A TRAY LINED WITH PARCHMENT PAPER FOR 10-12 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE DOUGH IS CRISPY AND COOKED.
